john daniels, jr. has been working as an actor, director and playwright for more than forty years. john has written and produced more than fifty of his own original scripts, he has acted in over one hundred productions and has directed more than eighty productions for multiple theatre companies and organizations over his career. April Daniels has been happily following along after her husband for the twenty three years they have been together. john and April have worked together in more than sixty five productions and in December of 2009 they decided to found Playhouse Smithville. April has more than seventeen years experience in business management and many years experience "herding cats" in the form of producing theatrical productions, fund raising and balancing precarious, shoestring budgets. April is currently serving as the Executive Director of Playhouse Smithville.
